I appreciated the author's attention to detail but felt the narrative was emotional and repetitious especially with his opinions. He is trying to build reader sympathy but could have accomplished that with fewer words. Perhaps this was the writing style of the period. Worth a read if the price is right.

This is an eBook from the original 100-year old hardcover. Clear reproduction of text and images. The only issue - in comparing it with the hardcover/print version - is that pages #17 and #18 are missing in the eBook. I have not read the entire eBook yet, but this is what I discovered in the first 20 pages . . . which may be the only error or omission.

Great read. I have read alot of Titanic books. This kept me interested.

I bought this as a gift for my 22 year old daughter that loves the history of the Titanic. She is fascinated with the book and how well written it is. The book was in great shape and very pleased with seller.

Can't get enough of the Titanic books and each one brings out more details of that tragedy.

I read everything I can find on the Titanic and this was one of the best!!!

I recently bought the third edition of *The Spiritual Exercises of ECK* by Harold Klemp after owning the second edition for years. This book has 131 spiritual exercises for understanding dreams, solving problems, achieving self-mastery, Soul Travel, meeting true spiritual guides, protection, and more. Practicing these simple exercises for 15 to 20 minutes a day allows me to get in direct contact with the Light and Sound of God, the Holy Spirit (ECK). I can now contact my own Inner Guidance, know the causes of my own problems and how to solve them, learn from past-life and present-life lessons, and experience spiritual freedom from so many of the troubles that plague mankind. These exercises (especially the HU) give me greater understanding of relationships, personal choices, and how to go beyond human ignorance and suffering. I’m unfolding in love and wisdom, developing more self-confidence, tapping into wells of creativity, seeing fears disappear, and appreciating miracles all around. The Spiritual Exercises of ECK also give me the means to meet and learn from ECK Masters who are always available and willing to teach when “the student is ready” and asks. I’m very grateful for this book that shows me how to continue changing my life in every way for the better.

Loved this exercise . . .I sent my brother a copy of this book and he loved it also, particularly the exercise called "Movie Screen." In the past, I hadn't been successful using my spiritual "inner vision." I had always thought, when closing my eyes, I had to look straight ahead, and look for a black screen. I would stare at the place between the eyebrows or third eye, getting nothing more than a headache. This exercise confirmed that a black screen wasn't necessary. Gray or white was ok and to look about 10 degrees to the side. I did. Then from the then right corner of my eye I saw a soft, beautiful, parklike setting!When I repeat this exercise and can go back to the park and walk around. Amazing.I guess before now I had been trying too hard. It is really hard to find a book that deals well with such a subjective topic. My brother and I recommend I the book.

The Spiritual Exercises of ECK by Harold Klemp is one of my favorite books (both hard copy and Kindle). It has helped me get through some very challenging times, given me new insights on my life, and helped me to make my life more meaningful and enjoyable. There is an exercise I have used repeatedly called "Controlling Your Own Mind"--an absolute life-saver, and one that anyone facing difficulties can use. It kept me from melting down when we were facing the real estate meltdown of a few years ago. Then there is the "Broom Technique", to sweep away obstacles that keep you from achieving a rightful goal. We used it when an important package hadn't arrived. We had done our part but somehow, there was a blockage that kept the delivery from being completed. Within one day of practicing this exercise, the package arrived--after a 3 week wait! This is not a magic wand to make up for what you didn't do; it's a way to see beyond the limitations you build up in your own mind, preventing your goals from manifesting.But The Spiritual Exercises of ECK goes beyond just solving day to day problems. These exercises give you a better picture of who you really are and what your true mission in life is.To unlock a wellspring of your own creative energies, crack open this book and find a key! It will open doors for you that will change your life for the better.

As good as any of the best ECK books. I am not a practitioner, but study (and apply) many different traditions. You can't go wrong with book.Just remember that we live in a camouflage reality, so if the exercises don't agree with your modality, that doesn't mean they don't work, just try something else, or imagine your own.

How many ways are there to reach the inner worlds? How many different methods are there? I tried a few of these exercises and I guess you'll have to read it to find out. Simple methods, that produce powerful experiences inside.

Many people in the world meditate to create calm and a feeling of being centered. This book takes inner work into an entirely new level. With simple active exercises this book took me to levels of heaven where I regularly experience the Light and Sound, the twin pillars of God. I do this before I go to sleep and watch my dreams nightly. Before I found these exercises life was quite random. Now, it has direction. I have met ECK Masters and other high beings who show me the best direction for me to take in my life. Even in every day simple things! Highly recommend.

Every exercise helps me to expand my consciousness. SO helpful to have a roadmap to do that. I wouldn't go to a foreign country without a travel guide if I wanted to experience it fully. It's the same with our spiritual travels.

I followed many of the exercises in this book. They changed my life. I have found balance and freedom and love in many things. I have been grateful to have a few key healings and have accomplished much in my life given the techniques in this book.It is nice because it is also not an beginning-to-end book. I could flip through it to find a topic that interests me and went from there. It's an easy read on a Kindle too.

The best things about this "guide" is the cover. The contents are no more than a white pages listing of 500 (apparently) well reviewed restaurants. When one opens the book, all one finds is the restaurant name, the cuisine type, the cost of a meal ("inexpensive", "modest", "expensive") address and phone number. It is not indexed, broken out by food type, contains no map of the area nor description of the restaurant's atmosphere/food. With land lines disappearing and the distribution of phone books dwindling, I suppose this book fills a specific niche, but with the internet, I truly see no purpose to the book other than killing trees.

Illustrations are too abstract and some pages just look like the illustrator got lazy (looking at you, rectangles that are supposed to be trains in the Rocky Mountains). Also, try to be a little accurate. My toddler now thinks there should be a train on top of Yosemite Falls whenever we go there. Bumping it up to 3 stars because I like the idea of a National Parks book and my daughter really likes the train.

Um, okay. We just got this book in the mail 10 minutes ago and I've already read it to my son six times. He doesn't particularly like sitting still for stories but this one has him wanting more. He loves it because of the "Choo-choo" and all the animals. I love it because it promotes outdoor adventure and exploring National Parks, after all, his dad and I did meet while working in Yellowstone. This is definitely going in our favorite pile.

Love the illustrations...kind of a minimalist retro vibe. I bought this mainly to use as a decoration for a woodsy baby shower I was throwing. It was perfect for that purpose. The aesthetic is great, however the content is a little disappointing. There's just not much to it. My 1 and 3 year old daughters were equally unimpressed. So I'd recommend as nursery decor, but not as a quality book.

Wonderful board book. Sturdy so my babies and toddlers won't rip it apart any time soon. And interesting enough for parents to want to read. I love the little picture details about each of the parks.

Cute book for young toddler. Giving to our 1 1/2 year old grandson who will be visiting some National Parks next summer. A couple very basic words and pictures on each page, so age appropriate. It never ceases to amaze me the creative variety of books available, and this one is a great addition to his collection.

Art is wonderful but there isnt really much to read. Each page basically has a caption and a labled animal.

I ordered this for a coworker's baby shower because I love backpacking and wish I had discovered our beautiful National Parks before my late twenties. I took a peak at it before giving it to her and was so happy with the beautiful illustrations. How cool to be able to get little ones interested in getting outdoors!

There isn't really a story to this book. I was expecting it to be a keepsake type book where I could put post-cards from the locations in it, but that's not it either. The pictures are very pretty, and my twins love looking through the book. But alas, that's all there really is to it. Just looking at the pictures.
