It's great to have all of these reminders of exercises and stretches, that I can easily incorporate into my everyday routine. I am extremely athletic for about 1 hour/ day and the rest of the day I am sitting in an office. My back hurts, my legs cramp and I know that I am not sitting up straight. I find that the day flies by and I haven't made any effort to help myself. I am excited that this book will jump start me back to feeling better physically. I did fall earlier this year and spent a month in a cast and what a wake-up call that was.

As an "older" adult who just watched my mother fall many times over her last 5+ years, I am all too aware of how important balance and strength is as we get older. I appreciate the author including illustrations along with the very descriptive directions. This book is exactly what I was looking for! I'm giving to both of my brothers for Christmas!

As a "woman of a certain age" I am thrilled to find this practical guide to achieving better strength and balance. The exercises are easy to incorporate into everyday routines and the illustrations very helpful. Kudos to Ms. Clements who obviously knows her stuff.Highly recommend!!

This book is very well organized with excellent illustrations. Smart advice, well presented, will prove very useful as good reminders of clever ways to incorporate "balance awareness" and development of related skills in everyday life.

Wonderful simple activities to increase the balance for this 67 year old guy who has increasingly become afraid of heights and falling. I am already feeling a bit more secure after only one week of following just a few of the activities. Every senior should get this book or share it with someone they love and want to have a life without falling.

Balance only turns on when a person is standing. In the modern world of smart phones and Uber, people mostly sit. Without regular practice, balance is lost. Better Balance for Life details easy exercises to be done while also doing daily tasks that will prevent this decline in balance.With literally no time spent, the exercises in this book will prevent falls both now and in later life. Stand on one foot while brushing your teeth and curve like a rainbow while waiting for an elevator are just two of the imaginative exercises here. The exercises begin simply and get progressively more difficult. Four exercises are added each week. Most of the exercises sound deceptively easy but are somewhat challenging like patting your head and rubbing your stomach. However, all are fun.Better Balance for Life is an enjoyably way to prevent breaking a hip when older. It would make a great gift for a grandfather or an elderly aunt. 4 stars!Thanks to the publisher, The Experiment, and NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Carol has written a very readable and practical guide to aging gracefully. Her ten-week plan is simple and doable, even for someone as lazy as I. With well-executed illustrations, it is very easy to follow.
